Hearts Bloom in God's Word Quilt for Jaftex Blog Hop!
Today is Day #4 of the Jaftex 85th Anniversary Blog Hop. It’s been a privilege to be in the Henry Glass family for over 8 years now. To help Jaftex celebrate their 85th anniversary, I’ve stitched this quilt “Hearts Bloom in God’s Word” from some of the Folio Basics by Color Principle. The borders are from my “Starry Basics” collection. The screen-printed scriptures are available through The Whole Country Caboodle. This project is a great keepsake quilt to make for yourself or to give to a loved one. We hope that you enjoy it for years to come.
If you want to win a bundle of the of the Color Principle fabrics that were used in the quilt, make sure to leave a comment on this post answering the following question...What is your favorite keepsake quilt you have ever made or received? I will choose the winner by October 1st.
Make sure to check out Mark Lipinski’s blog tomorrow : Mark Lipinski! Following days are listed on the side bar!
Another fun part of the celebrations is the contest. Winners will receive fabric of course but also some great prizes from our quilt industry friends. The first prize winner will win a Janome Skyline S5, the second place winner will win a big box of Aurifil thread and the third prize will win a lovely tin with special goodies from Schmetz Needles. Jaftex Corp. thanks special thanks to Janome America, Aurifil and Schmetz Needles for their prizes.

Jaftex 85th Anniversary Blog Hop
Hi
Quilting Friends…
We are so excited to help our friends at Jaftex celebrate their 85th anniversary. A little history to share with you about their beginnings is as follows: Jaftex Corp. was founded in the 1930’s when Jacob A. Fortunoff started selling fabric on the streets of New York. At that time, the mainstay of the business was women’s sleepwear and lingerie. In the 80’s, Jacob’s grandson, Robert, dramatically changed the business of the company. The business focus was transferred to the over the counter quilt industry when Robert purchased companies like A.E. Nathan, Henry Glass, Stylemaker, Chanteclaire, Fabric Editions/Studioe and more recently The Blank Quilting Corp. Robert is now joined by his two sons, Scott and Greg. Scott currently is the President of Studioe Fabrics, The Blank Quilting Corp. & A.E. Nathan Co., Inc. Greg just joined the business in late 2014 and has successfully spearheaded the company’s foray in to precut fabrics among other contributions.

As
a Henry Glass designer, I know firsthand the quality and top notch
fabric they create. I feel honored to be one of their designers and want
to take this time to congratulate Robert, Scott and Greg on a job very
well done!! Blessings to all of you as you continue to create beautiful
fabric!!
